The Miller's House Žabnik is located just a five-minute drive from Hren Hiža. This authentic miller's house represents the northernmost building in the Republic of Croatia. It is surrounded by an energizing outdoor labyrinth of love, a playground, an old mill, and a ferry, all of which are still in operation today.
Visitors can embark on a journey through the past on the upper floor of the Miller's House, where an ethnographic collection is displayed through an interactive setup. This collection tells the story of the ancient craft of milling, the life of a miller, as well as life along the Mura River.
The unique experience in the rich milling area of Mura begins with a 3D movie depicting the challenges and joys faced by a miller. The film portrays the miller waking up before dawn to fulfill his duties on time, giving visitors insight into the challenging yet incredibly important job that was once crucial for the community.
In addition, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty around the house, explore the labyrinth of love, relax at the children's playground, or observe the old mill and ferry in action, providing them with an opportunity to better understand the history and heritage of the area.

THE TOWN
OF ZRINSKI FAMILY
Just a 15-minute drive from Hren Hiža, you will find Čakovec. Čakovec is the capital city of Međimurje County, located in the northwestern part of Croatia.
Čakovec is a city with a rich history, and the Zrinski family was a powerful noble family that had their fortress here. The Čakovec Castle, built in the 13th century, was the seat of the Zrinski family. The castle has been transformed into a beautiful Renaissance residence that is now open to visitors. Inside the castle, there is a museum collection, art galleries, and historical rooms that tell the story of the Zrinski family and their significant role in the region's history. Surrounding the castle is the Zrinski Park, a beautifully landscaped park that is ideal for leisurely walks. The park is a favorite spot for locals and visitors who want to enjoy the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.

MAĐERKA
HILL
Mađerka Hill is located in the neighboring municipality of Štrigova. Mađerka Hill is adorned with a beautiful lookout point offering an incredible view of four countries. The lookout point is approximately 27.00 meters high, making it the highest point in Međimurje, specifically at an elevation of 361 meters above sea level.
With this, Mađerkin Breg has become a true hub for visitors, a resting spot for cyclists, as well as a presentation and tasting center for the Međimurje Wine Road.
Soon, another attraction will come to life there – the Međimurje Organs, which will play with the help of the wind.
In addition to music powered by the wind, visitors will also have the opportunity to hear the Međimurje traditional singing, registered as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
